This is the perennial sweet pea—the one that comes back year after year. It grows into a vigorous climbing vine covered in clusters of pretty orchid like flowers through summer. Unlike our annual sweet peas, this species is not grown for fragrance as it has almost no scent to it, but I love it as a long-lived flowering vine for fences and trellises. Short vase life of up to 3 days, but would be great for events and beautiful in the landscape.
